July, 2009. : ViStar SOFTWARE UPGRADE & CARD REPLACEMENT.

Software Upgrade:
Check the software (S/W) version of the IRD. Press “Menu>System Information>System Diagnostic”, a. Software version should be 02.0113.07.26 or 02.0113.07.27 , Loader version should be 0291812.07.03 . b. Press “Back” once and select “Conditional Access”, Converter software version should be CAK_D2D3 1.3.1-1.0.5 . If it's not like above, please contact us for software upgrade before applying for new card.

Card Replacement:
Please return your current access card for free new Nagra3 card replacement. Make sure your subscription is still valid before you apply for the new card.

In case software upgrade fails, we suggest you to buy a new Homecast receiver with one year subscription at a discounted price, your current subscription balance will be switched into the new account. Reinstallation/Resetting Procedure - ViStar
01. Press MENU
02. Select SYSTEM CONFIGURATION
03. Enter PASSWORD (Default is 1234)
04. Select FACTORY DEFAULT
05. Enter PASSWORD (Default is 1234)
"Do you want to reset the receiver? The access code reset to default?"
06. Press OK (wait for about 5 seconds)
07. Will display WELCOME; press OK to continue
08. Will display LNB CONFIGURATION; check specifications as follows:
ANTENNA 1
SATELLITE Default 01
LNB TYPE Universal
LNB POWER Yes
LNB LOW FREQ. (kHz) 9750000
LNB HIGH FREQ. (kHz) 10600000
DISEqC / TONE BURST Disable
09. Press OK
10. Will display ADD CHANNELS; check specifications as follows:
(Signal Strength about 50%; Signal Quality above 75%)
SATELLITE Default
TRANSPONDER TP1
FREQ. (kHz) 12301000
SYMBOL RATE 25600
0 / 22 kHz ON
POLARIZATION 18V
SEARCH TYPE Network
11. Press OK (SEARCH CHANNEL)
"Searching In Process, Please Wait..."
12. Will display 38 Digital TV Channels; 10 Radio Channels
13. Press OK to complete the procedure.
